On behalf of the Town of Navassa, we are saddened to announce the passing of Louis "Bobby" Brown, our first mayor and one of the original incorporators of Navassa on March 18, 1977. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on November 10, 2024, at Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church , located at 335 Main Street, Navassa NC, with a viewing available one hour prior to the service. Following the burial, a repast honoring Mr. Brown will be held at the Navassa Community Center, 338 Main Street, Navassa NC. Remarks and memories will be shared during the repast.
